A stand alone solar LED lighting system is a viable solution for pedestrian lighting in parks, pathways, sidewalks, and parking lots. The no-wire, no-hassle systems are also ideal for remote areas where electricity would normally be unaccessible. They provide targeted white light without the need for expensive trenching and wiring.

• Batteries are sized taking into account up to 10 days of storage under intended lighting conditions and average minimum daily temperature for the installation site as well as a safety margin to ensure no deep discharge and deterioration of the battery under use.
• Proquip uses high quality sealed AGM batteries designed for solar installations. These batteries are chosen for their superior cold climate characteristics and robust long life operation.
• Our panels are sized specifically for worst case solar resources in the install location. This typically occurs at the winter solstice. We include a suitable "guard-band" to account for yearly variances as well as charger and battery efficiency losses.
• Our light engines are fully "potted" and our electronics are either fully potted or conformally coated to ensure maximum resistance to environmental conditions.

Our careful design decisions ensure that our lighting products, often fulfilling a function of safety, work as intended with minimal maintenance over their life. Competing systems are often undersized for our climate and are not designed to understand the environmental rigours of real world installations.
