ProQuip is currently installing solar panels on five barn roofs at Van Osch Farms, the second largest cattle operation in Ontario. Once complete, this project will be the largest agricultural rooftop solar system installed in Ontario. ProQuip is the engineering, procurement, and construction company contracted for Solarize Energy projects. They will be working with Solarize Energy to provide Van Osch Farms with a turnkey solar power generating solution.
The 675 kiloWatt system (comprised of approximately 4,500 solar panels) will produce enough energy to power 125 Canadian homes for one year. The contribution to the fight against climate change through energy conservation is also significant: the annual reduction in Greenhouse Gases is equivalent to eliminating 728 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere or removing 134 cars or light trucks off the road.
